Every day bring your science journal, math journal, homework, and math book to Ms. Laub's class. Borrow a calculator (if needed) before class begins. Write assignments in your calendar or personal tracker each day. We will generally have 4 math lessons each week, in addition to lessons on Khan Academy, and an EdPuzzle assignment. Math Tiles books are due on the last school day of each month (starting Sept.).
Laub HR math homework will usually be due on Monday and Wednesday. Bleazard HR math homework will usually be due on Tuesday and Thursday. Science homework will usually be due on Fridays for both homerooms.
Excused Absences
When you have excused absences you get one day to make up work for each day you missed. For example, if you missed 3 days, you get 3 school days to make up missing work. If your absence is not excused, no days are given to make up work. It is your responsibility to check the absent binder and with classmates to get missing work.
Chromebook Expectations
Our class time is precious. We need to be able to trust that you can responsibly use a Chromebook. First offense for being off-task on the Chromebooks is loss of your Chromebook for the remainder of the day. For a second offense you will call home, and be off the computer for the rest of the week. For a third offense you will be written up, you will call home, and you will be off the Chromebook for 2 weeks (or longer for subsequent offenses). Should you use Chromebooks to bully, harass or hack other students, you will be written up, and my lose Chromebook privileges for the rest of the school year.
Should you be banned from using a Chromebook, it will still be your responsibility to get all assignments completed at home, on time.
Late Work
We accept late work without penalty until the end of the quarter. The reason to avoid turning in late work is that once you are behind it can be very difficult to catch up.
